It is reported in the USA that up to 80% of the population has some type of problem with breathing whilst sleeping. This can either be snoring, upper airway restriction, sleep apnoea or other problems. This has been linked to high blood pressure, stroke, obesity, diabetes, heart attack, heart failure, daytime sleepiness and increased risk of driving or workplace accidents. We work with specialist Sleep Physicians to help diagnose and treat these problems, often with a Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS) that opens the airway and allows better breathing and therefore better and more productive sleep (and less noise for partners!).
